Depends on the mood.

Whether it's steady and slow.

Sure. Just load up an Ipod and press play. That's what the DJ at "Pearl Ultra Lounge" does. And he gets paid MORE than a 4 piece band. And by the way, he, (The DJ), does not even speak the ENTIRE night. All DJs do is profit from Musicians Creativity and Talent.

Ah.....know it's not the thread topic but....

not when I used to do the job it wasn't.....in effect, if it wasn't for DJ's, both club and radio as I was, songs wouldn't get heard, so in effect the DJ is part and parcel of musicians getting thier talents out to the public.

Maybe today with the advent of technology one can do it directly on his own, but I doubt it happens without somebody there to promote....

Also, it may look like just pushing a button on an Ipod, but there is a hell lot more to the job then meets the eye.

U try and set yourself up with an Ipod and go up there and keep the people who want to party happy......then u may understand.

But don't just criticise..it's easy enough to do that....

I am extrememly proud of having been part of that profession for a decade and a half.....

cool

I think the greatest music to play while making love is Italian love songs. Artist like Sergio Franchi..Al Martino...Jerry Vale. All done in Italian, of course

I also believe Spanish guitar is very romanticheart beating

My guy better only be pressing the "play button" ......... because if he's playing the music he sure as heck wouldn't be making love to me. There's a time and a place for live music and its not in the bedroom!

Excellent Response. In the bedroom, the music would be supplied by Herbie Hancock. Album Name: "Thrust" Song Title: Butterfly. Sound familiar?

I've been playing professionally for 41 years. (No the number 41 is not a typo). DJs on radio are fine. DJs in clubs who take jobs from live musicians are Scammers at best.

I'm old fashioned from the 70's. Led Zeppelin's Kashmir and Santana always make me think about it. Santana and Rob Thomas, "Smooth", love that song. Classical Flamenco guitar...some things just scream sensuality.

I wish my neighbors played music. She just screams, moans and groans. I've seen them. It CAN'T be THAT good! If it were, I'd hear him too. She always sounds the same. (Ooh, aah, Ohh...shampoo, rinse, repeat.)

This very question was asked in the movie "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" and the answer was Led Zeppelin Four, but when the tunes were playing, it was actually Kashmir on the car stereo.confused

Physical Graffiti would probably be a good album. Nice and long!grin
