I am always amazed to hear someone say "there is no God". Especially if the statement is focused on the God of the Bible. The Bible should be the easiest religious book to disprove in the history of books (because of the outrageous claims it makes), and yet no one ever has. In fact, scores of scientist, historians, lawyers, teachers, authors, reporters, and ordinary working Joes have set out to discredit this book of books, and then found that not only is it impossible to clearly prove anything in the Bible is false, but that the amount of evidence to support the Bible's claims is extraordinarily vast. I have posted page after page of proof and argued with some of the finest people here, and still get no where. Some of the greatest lawyers in history have testified that the evidence supporting the Bible could be proved in any court of law. Scientists are continually finding that where they once thought they had a scientific conflict with the Bible was only a mis perception on their part. And Archaeologist findings are supporting the historical accuracy of the Bible like never before. The miracle of this book is testimony in itself of the existence of God.
But even if you throw out the Bible and looked at the miracle of the universe, you would see how perfectly awesome it is. The more you search it out, the more you see how it is virtually impossible to conceive of it being just one big accident. People seem to think that people labeled "religious" like myself are guilty of not researching, not being open minded, and not using our brain, when I find most (not all) of my opponents on this issue do not know the first thing about history, modern scientific theories, or what incredibly intelligent people like myself (that was a joke by the way) have said of the universe in which we live. "I want to know how God created this world. I'm not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details." Albert Einstein. Just because you believe in God, does not mean you check your brain at the door. "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." Albert Einstein. I find both sides of this argument to be incredibly and equally religious.
I do not have time now to really get into this. Perhaps I will try this weekend.
I look forward to more discussions in the near future. I have not seen BnaturAl, trish123, igoose, or some of the other more intelligent conversationalists here in awhile. I hope to debate you again soon!
