Do you believe there is someone for everyone? Do you think it "will happen" for everyone who is looking for love? Maybe there are some people on this Earth who are destined to be alone all their life, even though they do not want to be. Do you believe that could be true?
Ken,
I HEAR what you're saying: "thought...love of my life,..." Have felt similarly myself.

Then I met The Kansan! With every fiber of my being, I believe that each relationship I've had over the years prepared me for meeting and loving Don! Doubt I'd have been able to fully appreciate his AWESOMENESS if I'd not gone down that particular road. (Shades of Diamond Rio's "God Blessed the Broken Road" rambling through my head here!)
In particular, I had given up on the concept of "someone for everyone," and had decided that I was happy alone when Don showed up!! I'd become satisfied with my "alone-ness!"
Okay, I DID join CS, but I honestly was looking for intelligent conversation and for friends.
Do I believe "IT" will happen for everyone: NOT at all!! Most especially not in our personal timeframe!!! (Van Sant: "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans!"!) I only had success in finding my soulmate
AFTER being at peace with my own "demons." And, after coming to peace with myself.
Now, ask me the
REAL question: Do I think it will happen to YOU? Oh, yes, my friend, oh, yes!!!
Wishing you the best (and SOON!),
Jackson
