before you say anything......I put the dishes in the sink and ran the water so they could soak. Then sat down to have fun on CS.

You guess it!! My ENTIRE house is flooded. I am taking a break from mopping up. Every room has water on the floor. Good thing there are no carpets. All ceramic floors!

Now the good news...I had put off mopping the floors...but now they are getting cleaned. Also, I learned, I won't run out of hot water, as it was still hot when I turned it off

professor You are definitely a CSer...

1.) You take a break from chores to come here and have some fun.
2.) You end up doing something stupid because of that break.
3.) You come back to CS to tell about it, so that we can all have a good laugh....

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

wave it's called "swabbing the deck" Ship-quite fitting I might add...rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing thanks for the laugh...wine

This winter I had frozen water pipes again, so I left the kitchen tap open and went to bed, not realising I had forgotten to take the stopper out of the sink.
Well there was enough water running onto the floor in the middle of the night to wake me up when it finally started flowing again.D'oh!

I got out my cordless drill and poked a few drain holes in the floor and went back to bed. I'm renovating anyway.laugh

hmmm Perhaps the reason that you're looking for a good deal on flooring?????????

Gotta admit that's a pretty good solution and much easier than mopping.

The crawlspace underneath has a dirt floor so I didn't see how it could do any damage.laugh

Yeah, I just have to finish tearing out all the poorly installed old flooring. Some people sholud not be allowed to own tools or work on their own stuff.frustrated
