question about online over 1 month profiles

From viewing random profiles, it appears that "online over 1 month" users might not have looked at their accounts for several months. How long does an account last before it is discontinued? Thanks for your answer in advance.

I know I was on here for a long time....even forgot about it, before I was active in the forums. I don't know if they ever delete profilesconfused

Yea it's discouraging to go through here and see someone interesting and then click their profile to find they have been on line a month ago, soooo did they meet their match, die of old age or just say screw it????frustrated

I think some just leave and decide to leave their profiles up so that the memory of them lives on in their photo accompanied by their words in the forum archives.

Then there's the one's who think they have found someone only to realise a few weeks/months/years down the line that it was only a temporary fairytale and not a permanent one.

The ones that die of old age leave their profiles up as an haunting effect around here angel

Hhm .......... I'm not sure that CS actually does anything with those older accounts .......... in saying that .... it may still be worth a try to contact them because some people have their accounts set up to advise them when they've received mail. Just because someone isn't on here for a period of time doesn't mean that they still aren't single.

I am not aware of any expiry date, one has to delete one's profile themselves or it goes if the member is banned. Some may not log on unless they get a notification that they have mail/flowers. But, blimey, if I didn't have contact from anyone in a matter of months, its the hermit life for me, I think!
uh oh!

cheers

I agree, it's frustrating to come across those profiles. Makes me wonder if they're seriously looking. It happens on other sites too & I keep thinking if you're not serious, or have found someone, or currently taking a break, then hide the dang thing so the rest of us don't get our hopes up...lol Mine on Match is currently hidden since I'm not actively going there.

I sent an email to a lady that hadn't been online for a month and I would check back to see if she opened it. After about 3 months unopened I just said screw it and deleted it. I really think CS should send a little note to people who aren't active for a long time to pull their profile or if they aren't active for a certain time period their profile will be archived.

I know hug Not sure which reason will be the one that I leave my profile up for when I'm gone conversing

Probably number 3 rolling on the floor laughing My age will still keep going up on my profile so when it says I'm 108 my 47 year old pic will still be there!

It doesnt mean that a member is not interested to be in the CS just because they are not active online for a longer time or not been present for ages.....

I hope that CS personell will not mind and will not plan to discontinue membership for members who cánt be present in logging everyday...

There must be considerations some reasons why, serious one maybe both personal and social or other reasons . why these "old members " cant be here in this site allways. Isnt this a chilling webbplace to go to and not an obligatory site to be?...

Well, yes maybe they are having better luck heart wings on another site so therefore taking a temporary break from here OR maybe they are seriously ill for many months and not able to log on here.

I would hate to be in a coma then make a miraculous recovery, come dashing back on here only to discover my profile had been deleted crying crying
