help
ok so someone on here actually contacted me today with a flower box note and his phone number and asked me out for coffee... which is really sweet but I'm shy and I felt I needed more time. So I put it on the shelf to think about it for a few hours... when i come back here tonight after work I found a sour grapes note "so I guess your not interested, that sucks" and find out I'm blocked. blues

So I am just sitting here feeling kinda weird about it.... did I do something wrong or did I just dodge a bullet? confused

I don't think you did anything wrong. Can think of 2 reasons he acted this way.

He felt embarressed and thought it was a rejection.

He just has no patience, expected instant response

Truly maybe a bullet dodged ......... or more than likely a person who's tired of being rejected .... unfortunately seems to happen a lot on these sites. Maybe next time a quick note to say thanks - but I'm a little shy and you're being very direct and forward.

I don't think that you did anything wrong - but he definitely needs a new attitude and a fresh perspective of how he's coming across.

I wouldnt want to date someone so oc like that....I mean, its a bit overbearing... But, jmo, if I get something like that, I may respond, and right to the point, "hey, got your note, but need to think about it, not a yes, but neither is it a no...I will get back to you soon, ciao". I would say something like that.

U just dodged a bullet... phew!!!! a NORMAL guy isn't 1. going to ask you out without at least introducing himself and chatting first.. 2. Is not going to expect a girl to accept an offer from a stranger out of the blue... I say you had a quardian angel guiding u... listen to your instincts... they are the most accurate guide we have wave

Yeah, I can definitely see how sending someone a note like that would be courteous. But at this point, I think it was a bullet dodged too. Thanks for the feedback!!!

Hell, Just drop him a line and say, I would rather chat first for a bit to get to know you a bit.
Just going for it out of the blue is dangerous.

But he was clearly an asshole with a major problem

You dodged a bullet sweetheart.
Sounds like a control freak and a damaged ego, if he loses it after not getting a reply within a few hours then imagine if you refused his advances. Take all the time you need to make decisions and sometimes a good one will be made for you in an ironic way.
Good luck sweetheart and ignore him its his loss.

Yep, I agree, you did nothing wrong.

Usually when I get a message like that, whether through a flower or email, that comes on strong right off the bat with phone & off site contact information, I'm the one putting them on ignore. I've found that generally they aren't sincere and are trying to lure a person off site to scam them. So don't worry about the reaction you got....he's not worth it.
