My old computer crashed and I am using a rebuilt one for now. It has Windows XP Professional.

I am having lots of problems with certain programs. I can get on forums here but can't get in the chat room. If I do....the response time is really slow. I also get a message that a script in the movie is causing my computer to run slow.

I have JavaScript downloaded and also Adobe Flash 9.

I also can't play videos from You Tube. They play a word or two and stop and then start again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Have to go to work now but will check back this evening.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!! wave

Make sure that everything is updated. Go to windows update and update everything. Also make sure you have the latest version of Java.

On another note, you may want to check and see if there's an updated driver for your video card.

Do you know where the computer was previously used?
If it was a company computer, that may be the problem,
if it was/is set up for t1 or t3 connection it may need a lan card.
