Have you ever told a little white lie to get out of going on a date, or to leave a date early, or to end a relationship?

Yes, when I was younger. I got asked to Homecoming by a very nice guy who was a quadraplegic. Now, keep in mind I was young & ignorant. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but didn't want to go with him, for fear I wouldn't be able to dance or anything. So, I just simply said I wasn't going. And I kept my word. If anyone else had asked me, I'd have refused just to save his feelings.

I previously responded to a lady on internet dating, and came to the conclusion that we weren't compatible. Several weeks later, I was engaged by the same lady under a different profile, but it wasn't until the e-mails started sounding the same, and I saw her photo, that I realised it was her, despite being open and honest the first time.

I ended up admitting to her that I was married and looking for a mistress, funnily enough, I didn't here from her again

grin

I was aout 19 or so and I was dating a nice guy but I just wasn't attracted to him. So I cancelled a date with him and told him I had the flu really bad. Later that night (as I was getting ready to go out w/ some friends) he came over with some chicken soup soup that his mom made for me. I felt like a total jackassD'oh!

I keep my old engagement ring in my purse for just such an emergency. Some guys just don't accept the answer of "no." So, yes, I'll do whatever I have to do to remove myself from a situation I don't want to be in.

Nice to know that damn ring is still good for something!

No I am always straight up with them about not being interested or I would rather just stay friends...whatever the case may be...I don't have to make excuses either to get out of a relationship...I simply tell them the reason why...making excuses or outright lying is the cowards way out....Why is it so hard for people to he honest these days???????????

I was in the UK and told a friend to page me after an hour, so we could...,
pretending I had to go take care of 'some important military business, so I could put her back in a taxi so I could go meet my friends at a going away party. The club was right by the dorm, I hid in the bushes until the taxi picked her up.
Yea, that was a horrible thing to do.
Still feel some guilt about that one.
She brought flowers and wine. I know I'm a bastard.
dunno
