Have you ever told a little white lie to get out of going on a date, or to leave a date early, or to end a relationship?

to feel ashamed of something long past is poison
to emotional health. at some point we must
let ourselves off the hook, accept our mistakes and move on, forgive ourselves so the way ahead can be
clear to operate better., healthier and creating less wreckage
as we go...

its not a sign of a goooood person to beat hemselves up over a choice they wish they had dealt with differently

thats just not constructive

and we have all told such lies/bent the truth
there are times any of us may fear hurtingsomeones feelings
or would like to avoid feelings of confronting...

so what?

i mean what would we learn-what growth would there be
if we never screwed up at anything?

such challenges and hope for growth
is what makes life fulfilling for some

i guess maybe for some the comfort of knowing
they dont need to change is important- whats fulfills them?
im guessing cuz i dunno-only my desire-
uncover discover discard
ive found it a good help for me, a key to peace

yet to each his own

opinions cant be right or wrong
we are all just sharing opinions
why castigate ourselves or each other?
its pointless

Hi Mindfful hug

No, I am not a date fibber.
If it's something I imagine a guy needed to know about me, I would tell him.
It's just being respectful of people's time and freedom to tell the truth.... if they are informed, they can decide better how they want to move, inluding move right away.
Oh, and I think omitting relevant info counts as deception.

To answer the question,,
NO, I am honest no matter what, if things are going well.. great!
If not I will tell them that it just isn't working.

but I have also had one that I just shut the door in her face.
know that sounds bad but with good reason.
wasn't a date, was a neighbor that came over to hit on me and she was so stoned, I don't think she knew what planet she was on , could barely speak English (yes - she is English)
So I just told her that I was busy and shut the door before she could say anything else.
