I think it might also be.. turning my life around from being the town pain in the ASS.. (before kids I hasten to add lol)

getting rid of my bad reputation for always in being/getting into trouble.

I wasn't ' bad'... just always naughty.. (alot) haha

to being an (almost) upstanding pillar of the community
