I've often wondered why the "tall, dark, and handsome" guy became the preeminent description - aka, archetype - of the kind of man women find attractive.

Why not "tall, *blond (light?)*, and handsome"?confused dunno mumbling

It's just a matter of taste, preference. I like tall, dark men. Rarely attracted to blonds. Perhaps because opposites attract. I think the idea of tall, dark and handsome is a meaningless cliche--look at Robert Redford--being blond never hurt him...

Well hell Ambrose,
It is the same as a blonde being what the men want...LOL Both are not realistic or what all/most men are looking for!!! As it is not fair to say MOST women want tall dark and handsome ! Though I am sure all want their idea of handsome, but thankfully for most of us handsome is in the eye of the beholder... Luv ya'll
