I was wondering how many of people go for looks first or personality first?So i came up with this simple poll.Comments will be most welcome.

I think, when dating on line....personality is forst, by far. Because you don't REALLY know what that person looks like. So you build an interest in that person before you ever meet.

When dating real time...I think it's the appearance that makes you want to get to know the person better.

I look at the looks first as I know that I'd not date someone with a great personality if they looked stupid

Even as a kid I found that looks do not mean a thing as far as the kind of person another would like to choose as a loved one. You can find knock down pretty ladies and very sweet personalities but not often both in the same preson. You can find combinations in degrees but what people look for is not found often. If this is found, the person is already married.

I look for personality. I don't care how pretty she may be, if she does not have the right stuff inside.......gone!



It is like a car, if it runs good and is plain or ugly.......good!

If it is decked out with all the best and will never run.......it ain't worth crap!


It is getting hard to fine a truly sweet personality, that knows what is truly important if like. Very very hard!

But Rilly. if you were standing in line at wal-mart, and saw a really ugly woman, would would want to get to know what kind of personality that woman has?? Answer honestly now!!

True! I talk to people all the time. Everywhere I go. So if i meet and talked to a woman that was ugly and she was sweet...I would be attracted to her.

Fact! There was a woman (ten years ago) I meet that was very plain and had a large face mole on the side of her face. She was one of the sweetest women I have meet in a long time. She dress old fashioned and would not appeal too many. Even as I speak now I feel my heart warming. There is a woman now in town that is not a raven beauty, she is married, but if my time was better and she was not married, I would go after her in second.

Looks are fine for looking......inside is that which is loved.

I think people go for both. Intially, though, it is mostly physical attraction that draws a person to someone--if they are unappealing physically, people usually don't pursue it. However, if you get to know someone first in the natural course of your daily life, like I have done usually with the men I eventually gottn invovled with, you become attracted to their personality. So, I have had good, long term relationships with men I would not have initially been drawn to because of their looks. Having said that, they were basically nice looking guys, in my opinion, meaning I still have to feel a physical attraction too.

Well I am attracted to women that are possibly not stereotypical of model looking, it is the persona of them that makes them attractive to me. Their cheeky grin, smiling eyes etc etc, so in saying that it is their personality that is infused in their appearance as a whole that I find sexy.

Looks first and personality to carry it. If I am not attracted to a woman physically, then we can just be friends and that is it.....I don't care how good of a personality she has or how I can connect with her. Physical attraction is not to be underestimated in my book I have strong biological drifts.

With that said, my standards are not very high. I have the uncanny ability to find beauty in almost every woman. However she turns me on physically, then I'll give it a go. If she cannot turn me on mentally, then it won't last very long....because then my attraction to her diminishes by every word she speaks...need that connection.

say what you want, but it's the physical chemistry that will get you everytime.
On the net, I am initially attracted by looks, but kept by personality. Once you meet, it's anyone's guess.
