Very true ....... how do we describe our friends - rarely do we refer to looks, but its about their personality. How many times has someone changed their appearance and no one notices? ie. haircut/shave mustache (just gotta put that in!)

Funny you say that because I notice at once if someone looks different.I even comment on it.When I describe my friends I mention character and looks. This way the other person can visualize my friends.

A certain look gets your attention, but it's the personality that holds your attention. At least for me.

Well I think I must be the rare exeption since every guy I know fits the stereotype description of a man.It must be my job too to see only the things that are disfunctional and need fixing. One becomes very observative.cheers

I have experienced both senarios.... I can grow to be attracted to someone who is intelligent, funny and charming... I could never grow to love someone who is beautiful but dull, boring and rude... would never happen.... nothing against looks and sure it is a big bonus... but I know right now that it will be the person I fall in love with not the face.. To be honest, I begin with looks first. That being said, if she looks great but has a bad attitude or a personality I'm not getting along with, I still wouldn't date her. But realistically, looks are first simply because (i) that's most likely the first thing I would have encountered that caught my attention and (ii) if I'm not happy about my date's looks and find "distracted" by other women who look much better then it's not fear to my date because that will only bring about insecurities and problems. Therefore, when I choose a date, I'd choose one whose appearance I'm pleased with. Realistically, as well, I expect the opposite from my date so I try to keep myself looking good.

It doesnt matter how you look like, what matters is your heart. We can never truly judge only the outside of a person, though the first thing you see is the outside.

you got it right there! it is that simple, if i am not attracted to you then you will probably just be a friend or not, no matter your personality, i deal with formulas and the one tufty speaks of is the one i go by, but hey that is just me.lips
