That's not strictly speaking too. My ex is what I would still call my significant other until solicitors sort things out.

I call her boot face, trout and useless waster. When I am feeling in a particularly good mood I call her fuckwit.

The solicitor will not use these terms in court though.

when I was involved with Sharon, I referred to her as my lady friend!

Girl friend just seems childish!!
