Dress Code for People Over 50

Many of us "Old Folks" (those over 50, WAY over 50 or hovering near 50) are quite confused about how we should present ourselves. We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashions. Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together and should be avoided:

> 1. A nose ring and bifocals
> 2. Spiked hair and bald spots
> 3. A pierced tongue and dentures
> 4. Minis skirts and support hose
> 5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads
> 6. Speedo's and cellulite
> 7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
> 8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
> 9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
> 10. Bikinis and liver spots
> 11. Short shorts and varicose veins
> 12. Inline skates and a walker
>

Haven't worn a bikini since having kids....haven't worn the one piece....hell....haven't worn a bathing suit at all since I've been divorced. Haven't been anywhere I'd need one.

I find bikini's at this time of year rather airy.

Did I just say that out loud?

I think they'd be "airy" anytime of year...lol

Just had a weekend with temps over 100 degrees and my a/c went out. Repairman is supposed to be here sometime today and it's currently only 60 outside.

I have over 35 swimsuits. Many bikinis and some one pieces. I have no visable stretch marks and a flat stomach!

Wear them often, to do yard work, gardening and mowing the lawn. I love the sun! Never had sun cancer either! Soaking up all the Vitamin D I can get!

I buy a new suit every summer, this year i'm getting a one piece and a bikini. As for soaking up the sun, yeah right, not me, not unless i want a dozen or more new freckles. Sucks being a red head!
