I live in an apt. It used to be a big old farmhouse and was converted into 3 apts. My son & I live in the upstairs apt. & my brother lives in one of the downstairs apts. & the 3rd one we use for storage.

My hat is hung is a 4 bed home in the UK.. we are selling to complete our divorce process, but since the market crashed here, the ex is buying me out.

I will be purchasing my own smaller place in the not too distant future. Just can't decide on whether to rent for a while or to buy whilst the market is depressed...dunno confused

If you're able to get a loan....I go for buying.

My hat's hung on the edge of my dresser mirror in my house that I bought last year.....hopefully this fall I'll get to change the outside from it's puky green color...lol (It's still going to be green, just a better shade).

Thanks money is not an issue, the market here is still falling and may fall another 5-10% in 2008. Builders are dropping prices on new builds by £20-30K, but also new home starts are declining..

Anyone from the UK with an idea? LOL Need to know where I should hang my hat in the next few months..
LOL

I live in a (now-whoop!) four bedroom apartment... I have the upstairs and a third of the down stairs of the building. (it belongs to my dad)

It's quite big.. but in an unusual way.. it's all higgledy piggledy and nothing is where it SHOULD be.. or where you think it would be. ..the rooms are all in funny places.. nothing in a usual order. it's twisty and turny and strange (i think lol).. but my friends and kids like it.

It's like something from Alice in Wonderland. laugh which is actually a pain in the arse tbh.. (I have lived here for 17yrs)

It has three toilets.. (HOORAAYY!!!) 2 showers and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath (ooh-laaa!) My Outlaws bought it for my daughter when she was having all her hip ops. She hated it.. I LOVE IT! laugh

The front of my house is on the main street of the little town I live in.. (which you can just fit two cars passing- ifff you slow down lol)..

and the back of the house backs out onto the fields with cows and sheep and pigs an wot not. (and fabby countryside scenery)

It has a nice little garden at the back.. with a picnic bench and a niiiice beeeeeeg red umbrella for my friends and I to sit under and swigging cocktails whilst contemplating WHY we are single. (Or who wants to be) haha. ..Or for the children and I to sit outside to eat on a nice sunny day.

Where I hang my hat.. will be on the end of my newwww gorrrgeous pillow topped taffeta satin covered BED! haha

I have a house on an acre of land.

On the corner of two roads intersecting. About six miles from a major town.

Big old cape style house, built sometime between 1804 (town established) and 1820 (Maine became a state separate from Massachusetts).

Four bedrooms, 8 rooms total, a huge attic and a two car garage used for my chicken business grin

I have a small 3 bedroom raised ranch house and my brother lives in the old farmhouse we grew up in next door -- together we own the 150 acre farm behind the houses. We raise our own beef and rent some of it to a pheasant preserve. Lived here since I was 4 years old. I know every field, path, tree, rock and stream on the whole place and love it! dancing

I have a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath,. house with 2 car garage. Gated community. Have a pool in the back. No neighbors in back of me, so it is quite private, if you are into being naked in the pool wow!
I have a feeling it will disappear in the divorce crying
I spent so much time decorating it. Venitian plaster. Hardwood floors. Looks beautiful.
