It’s a long held common belief that you should never give a knife as a present, because it will cut the ties of friendship. The only way around this is to accept a small token usually a coin in return.

For women wanting to cut links with unwanted lovers, though, the knife is an ideal present.
Present it to the man, refusing any gifts in return, and that should get rid of him for once and for all.

A knife spun on a table-top, however, may point at your lover-to-be.

How ever, in this crazy world of today, be careful when doing this because the knife might turn into a murder weapon.

I must live a sheltered life as I've never heard of these knife storiesconfused

I think if I wanted to give a man the hint with a knife that I wanted rid of him I'd just plunge it into his back when he was looking the other way laugh

Then he'd get the message loud and clear rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Very interesting. I like the first point about not giving a knife as a gift because it will cut the ties of friendship. On the second part of the post, don't know what a guy would think about a gift of a knife--. On the third part, I've heard of spin the bottle, but not spin the knife.

The last part is an acute observation--maybe we should just forget about knives altogether!!laugh
