I have to admit that when a guy (that I haven't been conversing with at least consistently) mails me his # - I get a bit leery...

I also tend to wonder how many others he has emailed his digits to. hmmm uh oh!

I usually scan an email real quick before I bother reading it, if it is a first interaction and has the words "love", "soul mate" "meant to be together" an addy or a phone number, it is duly deleted without thought....
