Why, if I may ask....just thinking this could be an interesting thread topic: home schooling vs public schools..what ya think?

You're right, it probably is a good topic. I'm not aware of any other parents on the threads who homeschool though.

Okay, maybe only an old homeschooler gets how funny that is. But I kid you not...sometimes I think I can spot a homeschool fam a mile away...it's a trip. Yep, I was always the rebel...jeans and t-shirts...but had the "uniform" handy just in case I was asked to speak somewhere. How sad is that.

You homeschooled? So cool. Yep, I don't wear the uniform often. laugh

if yall decide to have this thred Ill put in my 2 cents. dont home school. I was from 2nd grade to 9th grade. worst mistake my parents made. I had and still do have a very hard time making friends and being in social settings. it may be alright to do when kids are older like in highschool but in thier formitive years I highy discourage it JMO

Interesting. Most homeschoolers are very conscious of making sure that their children are very social. My daughter is going into 8th grade. I've homeschooled her since 2nd grade. She's extremely social.

One thing I like about the social aspect of homeschoolers is that the kids are usually very comfortable with people of all ages instead of just their own, like many public school educated children.

Well, I'm glad they did. There was no reason for her to be so ugly to you. I thought you handled it well.

Thank you! No matter how clearly stupid they are, words can still hurt people. She hit kinda low. I'm glad I left the situation.
