Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is recovering in a Hawaii hospital after a mild heart attack at the weekend.

Grammer was "resting comfortably" in an undisclosed hospital after being taken ill on Saturday, Stan Rosenfield said.

The 53-year-old actor would be released early this week, he added.

Rosenfield said Grammer, the star of Cheers, Frasier and the recently cancelled Fox sitcom Back to You, was paddle-boarding with his wife, Camille, when he experienced symptoms.

The couple live in Kona, on Hawaii's Big Island.

Grammer was immediately taken to hospital where it was determined that he had suffered a "mild heart attack", Rosenfield said.

The spokesman added that he was unaware of any history of heart trouble for Grammer.

"mild heartattacks" That phrase always amuses me. I had a "mild" heart attack in Sept, and it felt as bad as the two massive heart attacks I had in 1990. NO HEART ATTACK IS MILD!

Not attacking the OP....sheeesh! Just the phrase!

Spot on Ship, my brother is currently recovering from a "mild attack" as the doctor put it and yet it may have killed him nonetheless.
No such thing as a mild attack
