Women are from Venus. Men are from Mars or so they say.

So lets put it out there and ask the guys questions that we've always wanted to know.

As for the twin thread, play nice.grin

Me first. I wan't to know why a guy says he loves you the way you are, before you actually committ, then when you are committed they try to change you?rolling eyes

I remember wondering that years ago..

Wondering how (Sometimes) a man will fall/chase/pursue a woman in heels skirt.. make up etc..

then sometime after he has 'snagged her' .. isn't happy with the way she dresses any more.. too 'available'.. too attractive to other men?

THEN.. goes off her because she is starting to dress down.. and not look so good any more.. while he is back off oggling the skirts and heels elsewhere..

I never did understand that..

laugh

Delusions of grandeur meets the modular girlfriend. He thinks you're perfect except for a few nagging details, somewhat like tuning a car. A little tweak of personality...

Wait, human?

Goes both ways, too.

haha

I do think though.. whichever sex you are. If you feel the need to change something about the person you want to be with.. then the whole thing needs a better look... as to whether you should be together or not at all.

If I choose to be with someone it's because I like them as they are. I wouldn't want to be with someone if I had thoughts of things that could/needed to.. be changed.

(and I expect the same)

Like an answer in the other thread...Not all guys are like that...

I have seen both men and women trying to change their partners to the point of success...Only to find out its not what they wanted...

I have great memories of first meetings, first dates, and how they made me feel...

The impact of that stays with me and i would think to try to change a person that made me feel so good would be counterproductive and a great disadvantage to myself too...dunno

Okay...I have a question. A girlfriend of mine said she believed men didn't actually care as much about our bodies being 'perfect' as women think they do. So, I want to know if she is right. That is, advertising and our culture have virtually convinced women we need to be thin and nearly perfect....so we diet, and do a lot of other silly and exteme stuff so men will want us. But maybe it is not as important to them as we think. What's the truth???

Yeah, and fear that you can't "do better," find a better match before the bioloical clock runs out.

That's what happened in my last relationship, actually. We kept trying to change one another until I finally had enough.laugh
