I make tiny installations with them and they stay long after I have lost interest in them.

wave It's not about cleaning....it's about owning something that is totally useless and pointless...something you never use and that just takes up space...you have nothing like that?

I have so much stuff, I wouldn't even know where to begin to narrow it down.

The problem is my mom was a pack rat. After she died and my siblings came to choose some of moms things to keep, they left all the rest of the crap for me to deal with. I wasn't ready to even begin for almost a year.

I finally had a few yard sales in the fall. I've given stuff away, I've thrown things away, I decided to get rid of things that Em wasn't ready to let go of.

So now, I'm ready to tell good will to come and pack up most of my house, my stuff too. I'm sick of it all.

Spicey.. Do you still want that minimalist thing? You can come haul it off. laugh

That's me on so many of these things of moms. We couldn't even throw out her makeup when we first started to. Em used to play in there with mom while she put on her face. The littlest things end up with meaning.

I personally think souvenirs are necessary, not extraneous..the are a record of our lives...but I'm quite a sentimental person (shhhhhh....don't tell anyone)...I have been collecting sourvenirs as I have traveled, and pack them along with me...no room for other extraneous stuff, but room for the souviners...thumbs up
