In moments of calm most of us ave blundered around the web downloading music of some kind or another.

Now i'd heard a track on two film soundtracks i liked and had no idea what it was called but i knew the artists name, so i did what any sensible person would have done just did a search under the artist name.

Now the artist was Jonny Cash and the soundtracks were Day of the Dead and the Hunted and as the dvds were upstairs i thought it would be easy to find what i was after........apparently not.

Anyway when tracks were downloaded i put on the headphones to discover i had downloaded a track that no way on this earth could ever get radio play, or be published as if it were played anywhere the place would be smashed up.

This track was called "Send those N*****s Back". I couldn't believe it so i listened to it thinking someone has mis-labbelled it but sure enough it was the "man in blacks" voice.

Trust me if you ever hear it you wont believe it and you better explain to people before you play it if you download it by accident! This is a guaranteed way to get a bar or place smashed up if this were ever played.

Have you ever discovered something by accident that made your jaw drop? Because this was the biggest surprise i ever had on the internet, bar none.dropping jaw

yes, as a karaoke host, I have had some real surprises. Esp. when an underage child presents a song request, with their parents present.

The biggest surprise I got was "the Ballad of Chaisey Lane" by the Bloodhound Gang

dropping jaw dropping jaw

And this was a child that brought this to me!!

Might not have been a surprise to you but when the first track came up was that i was surprised yeah!

All i wanted was one track!!

I just didn't expect that and wondered if anyone else found anything as surprising as i found.

You never know what your going to get when using limewire or other P2P programmes but this was the first time i was surprised by the content!

I'm afraid no music really shocks me any more.
Might be all the years as an AV tech... might just be where I live.

I don't know much about that sort of stuff....I have heard of the song you mentioned. I never actually listened to it, but I knew of it's existence.

hmmm

2 Live Crew were the first artists to shock me at the age of fifteen. I have been hooked on Hip-Hop ever since.

Interesting but you didn't mention if that particular song "send those...back" WAS by Johnny Cash. If...IF it was, I'm not surprised, I would wonder what the year was....as it could be a remake of "Ship Those N.....Back by Clyde Otis and the 3 Bigots, originally put out by Hate-anny Records in the mid 60's from some recording studio in Nashville. Clyde was from the Ozarks who could neither read nor write and he had to learn the song by heart first before recording. In fact, they put an entire album out, played on a few radio stations sympathetic to the Klan. Then they disappeared back into 'them thar hills' leaving a somewhat 'controversial' collection of 'real down-home music from hill-billies'...I may still have a copy of it
somewhere %D It would not be surprising that others have covered some of the songs. They sold quite a few on single an the album also....%D

Yeah it was him.I had no idea he had that background.I knew he had a resurgence in his music career and they released some of his material but this stuff was real racist stuff.I honestly couldn't believe my ears.

It sounded like an old 60's record that had been copied onto mp3 format but i cant imagine anyone playing it other than a KKK get together.

Some of the RAP stuff is pretty derogatory calling women bitches etc and calling for shooting of the cops as the only good one is a dead one etc.To me these are the rantings of assholes just trying to be notorious!

I bet one of them doesnt go home and tell his mama, "yo Bitch, where's my muther f**king food you lazy ass crack whore".

These people decrying how tough it is down in the hood, yeah i can see Jenny on the block from here from here 12th story apartment with elevator and butler service.

They arent offensive there either to be laughed at or pitied.Mind you funny rappers are another breed, now them i can respect for bring wit into it all.
