people do change.... and more then that people can be changed by others.. I've seen it... but its hard to see those changes sometimes... my dad for example changed a great deal but I hadn't seen him in a while.. so I still assumed the same motivations when I saw him again.

People can and do change, all the time. Things happen in our lives that change us all the time. Some people resist believing that a person changes, only because they still know what you were like in the first place, and they seem to remember the bad things, a lot longer then any good you do. You just have to have faith in your self and believe in your self, then one day the ice may break and people will see you for who you are now. But untill then you are giving a different view to new people you meet.

Of course people can change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. But they key, in my opinion, is that they have to WANT to change. They have to want to do it for themselves and not just for others JMO

The demons inside never change but leave us the day we leave this world.
At the most we can only tame them and live with them.
Sometimes, just the proper stimulus can make us realise that the demons are there inside, as big and ugly as they used to be. In front of such a thing we just shudder under our defenseless human skin.

do it for youself.. not for anyone else... dont prove to people that u have changed but only to yourself.

dont live up with the expectation of people, happiness is felt inside not superficially.

A person may change, but the legacy they left behind won't

I don't have too many demons left. I worked hard for many years to be rid of them.

Mr. Wolfpack,

Good for you. An open-minded person looks for change. It's a form of personal growth.

I personally don't worry about what anybody else believes, and I don't care if they like the changes I've made in myself or not. I change as I will, to make myself healthier and happier. If anyone doesn't believe that I am better off today than I was a few years ago, that's their problem, not mine. I was not put on this earth to impress others.

I understand what you mean. Like the old saying...misery loves company. They don't want you to break away and succeed. Just surround yourself with POSTIVE people and you'll be fine.

I agree with all those who posted here, ppl can change....the bad thing is most of them change into being worse people....the hard and painful sides of life usually leave an eternal mark upon our hearts and we suffer some irreversible transformations that cannot be denied.
But when smb becomes with time a better person (which is ur case), people are rather tended to be cautiousconfused ( don't blame them for that) because it looks like a miracle and you know...miracles are hard to believe in. All you can do is stop paying attention to what they might think or not...Anyway, sooner or later they will notice the good changes ( if not, it's their loss, right?wink )hug

Honestly, people may be intimidated and wishing that they had the balls that you do to change the things abou them that they wish were different. Most people are too damn lazy to change things about themselves. Just consider yourself lucky that you aren't one of those people.
