Here are characteristics of people of various birth orders. Check them out and see which ones apply to you. Remember, your birth order doesn’t define you, but the following characteristics may offer insight to why you act the way you do.

Which are you?

Oldest and only children can be
Perfectionists
Worriers
Leaders
Competent
Good students
Hard workers, conscientious
And they may
Have trouble accepting others’ mistakes
Put pressure on themselves
Overcommit

Middle children can be
Intensely loyal
Competitive
Friendly
Well-liked, popular
Able to deal with all kinds of people
Patient and tolerant
And they may
Try to live in harmony with the world

Youngest children can be
Easy-going
Willing to see another point of view
Spontaneous
Risk takers
Cheerful, fun-loving, optimistic, playful and adventurous
Good team players
And they may
Sometimes resent authority

I have one younger brother (by 2 & 1/2 yrs) & these descriptions are fairly close for each of us.

I don't believe is judging or forming assessments or whatever based on birth order....in fact it offends me....i am the youngest and therefore should be the 'baby' when in fact am the strongest, toughest, most independent of any of them...so this kind of thing really has and does piss me off....sorry scottish lass, but that is my feeling...

No need to apoligize for stating your feelings Portia. I just saw this while "surfing" & thought it might be an interesting topic for discussion.

Now I know why you freaked when I called you 'shorty'. If you read just a little further and before actually, I gace you a great compliment. . You are supposed to have fun here. It's not you dropping ground. If anyone dislikes my words then whoops, nope.

insulting people is not having fun....your sense humor may be a little adolescent ..... flowering someone just to tell them they are short? someone you don't know and have to relationship with and you think that's clever and funny?

i joke here a lot and have a lot of fun. INSULTING PEOPLE AND THEIR IDEAS FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN TO BE INSULTING IS NOT HAVING FUN....ADULTS DON'T DO THAT....CHILDREN AND ALDOLESCENTS DO THAT....MY SENSE OF HUMOR HAS MUTURED BEYOND THAT OF A TEENAGER...

I EXPRESS AN OPINION AND YOU TELL ME TO TAKE A PILL....HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE PROMOTING PEOPLE FREELY EXPRESSING THEMSELVES ON THE FORUMS?
