How do you feel about a prospective employer doing drug testing, psychological testing, and/or making you take a lie detector test as part of the screening and hiring process for a job?

Which jobs is it absolutely necessary for? Which never?

How about finger printing teachers and others who work with children? Is that kind of testing OK?

How far can/should employers go when they are screening and hiring employees?
dunno

I think, the money comes out of their pocket to pay us, so thay should be able to require whatever test they want.

Even if it is not really related to the job? What if it is really an invasion of privacy or could be considered in conflict with civil liberties and equal rights? What is happening to American values of personal rights and liberties? Can an employer fairly ask for any kind of test just because he/she is going to be paying you to work for them? conversing
