If you're not ready to cry,if you're not ready to take the risk,if you're not ready to feel the pain, then you're not ready to fall in love.There was a time in our lives when we became afraid to fall in love coz every time we do, we get hurt, then I figured that's why it's called falling in love.

Falling into a pile of shite has got to be better than falling in love. In the former, you go take a shower and all is new again! Not so for the latter. JMO, of course

All I can say is that sometimes love just mystifies me. Some things are beyond my understanding and I don't need to understand it....just be with it....a LOVE that is stronger than the universe. I feel blessed that I am with this now. This love that is stronger than the universe has endured through every conceivable hell.....time and painful events have passed, but our LOVE still remains.....A love stronger than the universe and a love that has overcome the word's illusions to divide two souls as one heart....

This is deep and profound but oh so true, you have hit the nail on the head with this one, as a friend on here once told everybody and i was one of the ones listening "you have to swing in order to strike" stepping up to the plate should be easy. I think too to expound a little on what you have said, this too is not only in relationships between man and woman, etc. it is in all relationships, friends can hurt friends, family can hurt family and so the saga goes on, nice thread, and it makes perfectly clear sense

Letting go is very hard. And getting to the point of trying to find new love and taking the risk is scary. But you are correct in saying it is worth the risk. Timing is the nagging problem though. When do you let go and when do you take the new risk?

to nobody in particular, this guy had fallen in love, wasted 7 years of mourning on a relationship that was over, of his approximated 27,000 days here on earth he wasted 2,555 estimated already, wonder how many more he is going to waste in a sit going nowhere? JMO

When I finally decided to "Take the Plunge," I was scared witless. To me, commitment was second only to death. I was so worried about all the things I would sacrifice that I failed to realize all the gains. But over the years, I was repaid tenfold. There is nothing better than a happy union. You do change, you do sacrafice, but you get the benefit of a strong loving union which makes you far stronger, far happier than what you can be when you're alone. What I didn't know, was that losing your loved one is also the most painful experience of all. If I could have reached down my throat and ripped my own heart out to spare him, I would have. It's not like losing an arm, it's more like losing an arm, a leg, your total identity, and half your brain cells. Love hurts worse than anything I've encountered so far. Yet I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Take the risk, people. There are wonderful things out there you just can't envision until you live it!
