does it work out, you think? I know two women who met their husbands online, but it wasn't from this website.

Sorry. I posted a message to you. I don't know if I did that right. I know two women who met their husbands online and they are fine, but it wasn't from this website.

That is lonliness. I know what you are saying. I am talking to a guy from this website from now. He has already asked a lot of questions. I have already been hurt by a guy who I met online, and we have talked on the phone too. That was a big mistake.

Alan,
You may be long gone from the thread but if you give the site a try, you may meet someone close by, making the point about relocation moot. Meanwhile, the thing that blows my mind is how much more the site has to offer (esp the forum) in the way of advise, all the way from practical stuff about online dating to really good introspective stuff to help with interpersonal issues, not that you have any but you know what I mean.
Take a shot.

They only work out if both parties can learn patience.

In the throes of infatuation, people can get impatient to have gratification to their desires for companionship, sex, proximity to their object of desire.

Its hard to get a whole picture of someone on the net. Its hard to get a whole picture of someone in RL, let alone have the barriers of distance, poverty, etc. interfere with our wish-fulfillment.

I only have one word of advice: Patience.

Yes it happens. 2 friends of mine did. One is now married with 2 little girls, the other has been with her partner for 8 yrs now. It happens, but you have to be realistic.... when you meet a person on line, they might not be exactly like you think in person.

It also depends on how realistic a person's expectations are and are you really wanting to work at the relationship. Some people meet like each other, meet in person, think they have a relationship, but when they find out meeting in person, it's real and not a game. (JMO)

Some people meet, and find the relationship on line was more fun, and did not have the same responsabilities as in person. JMO

I'm no expert, it's just from what I have observed.

Best would be to find out from some on here that have met someone and learn from them.
