how do they explain bi?

Based on this study my theory would be:

In heterosexual men and lesbian women, there were more nerve "connections" in the right side of the amygdala, compared with the left.

The reverse, with more neural connections in the left amygdala, was the case in homosexual men and straight women.

F = (Hetero sexual preference) = normal number of nerve connections etc to the left brain.
M= (Hetero sexual preference) = normal number of nerve connections etc to right brain.

F = (same sex preference) = more nerve connections to right brain and same brain make-up as male.
M = (same sex preference) = more nerve connections to left brain and same brain make-up as females.

F= (bi-sexual preference) = a few more nerve connections to the right brain and some male brain make-up.
M= (bi-sexual preference) = a few more nerve connections to the left brain and some female brain make-up.

So there are more nerve connections etc to the left brain for males and the right brain for females than normal BUT not the same amount as the opposite sex or enough of the opposite gender brain make-up to make one fully gay...but must enough to have an attraction also to the same sex!!!!!!!!

Just an educated guess though.....wink wine dunno grin

I had read a simular report about the hypothalmus, at the base of the brain. The report stated that the size was different in homosexuals than hetros. But this was many tears ago, while I was still teaching for the ARC

Yes I have no doubt that there may be other differences as well....given that this was the first time brain scans were actually used to determine brain structure of gay males and females....I forsee more in depth studies to determine if there are more differences than just these!!!!!!!!!

In other words, after all is said, brain scans of babies could be done upon request of the parents and then corrective surgery carried out...this is where it will go...ummmm

Well I would hope not....and I don't know that any corrective surgery could be done anyway since it has to do with nerve connections and such...I would hope that any parent would never risk brain surgery to ensure their child was not gay or that scans would never be utilized for that purpose....I think it would be unethical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every Christian with the slightest thought that their boy might be a homo would be lining up to have their child made "normal". I have to agree with Solitare!!

Knowledge is never a bad thing, but what we do with that knowledge is!

I can see the 700 Club raising money for people who can't afford the needed operation, to make their children "acceptable" !

Pat Robertson, Hagee, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyers, James Gills...all wanting to purify America through the scalpel!

Yes very true....sometimes information in the wrong hands can be dangerous...Well any parent willing to risk brain damage or worse for brain surgery so their children won't be gay....will have to live with themselves and the after effects of the damage they choose to inflict on their child!!!!!!!

And the preachers right along with them....

My opinion: who the f*** gives a friggin' shite one way or the other?....if someone chooses to be gay or bi or whatever...or if it is biological or psychological, what does it matter one way or the other...who f***ing cares? I don't....Just doesn't matter....There are more important things in life to worry about...peace

I don't for sure...BUT a lot of people think that being gay is a choice and that they can some how choose not to be gay...so this sudy confirms that is in fact not the case...so people can stop saying homosexuality is something to be cured!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe this Hugz- i don't think anyone would consciously choose t be a way, that could make them open to abuse, ridicule r violence. i believe they are born prgrmmed that way, and it is wrong to try and change them
they have also done studies where they have very accurately predicted the personality of children from studies in the wmb- eg overactive, shy etc= not sure exactly how they did it, whether it was watching activity, or by actual genetic testing, but i do remember it was pretty convincing. good thread

damn the 'o' button missing on this comp!!!!

ship i know your background that youve shared here

thats to be respected of course
but to say EVERY christian etc

this is just hogwash

i know christians
i know gay christians
i know lots of non christians
i know some agnostics and a number of atheists
i have heard many ideas and levels of acceptance
regarding homosexuality...?

im sorry this subject is being used to further villify any group--
gays or christians

its just like all bigotry-all are judged by the actions of a few
thats why bigotry never pans out on paper...

civil rights issues have been bent and twisted
every time they have come up in america's history
according to any "values" or "reasons"...
sufferage, segregation, integration and now gay rights

this is politics-with some underlying-uh- what have been called-"religious fundamentalist" reasonings

the irony is that exclusion has nothing to do with the fundamentals of following christ (christian = little christ)

wave

That's your opinion on villification....I thought this subject was being used to clearly show...based on scientific data and facts that you are in fact born gay and it's not a choice.....Nobody is being villified...people are entitled to their opinions just like you are and I don't think they need direction or to be told what to post!!!!!!!!!!

You are making the same sweeping statements that you are accusing others of!!!!!!!!!!
