Stearic acid (IUPAC systematic name: octadecanoic acid) is one of the useful types of saturated fatty acids that come from many animal and vegetable fats and oils. It is a waxy solid, and its
chemical formula is C18H36O2. Its name comes from the Greek word stéar (genitive: stéatos), which means tallow. The salts and esters of stearic acid are called stearates.
Plants are chemicals. Synthetic chemicals, massed produced for pharmaceuticals are merely man made imposters of active agents found in plants and minerals etc
Anything you put in your body has consequences. While, by and large, suppliments are generally classed as safe, there are a great deal of them that cause adverse affects, some very serious . Some have been removed from store shelves in some states and countries for this reason.
I have a personal preference to natural cures but it is wise to be informed, meaning advice from reliable sources. Just like medicinal drugs every person is different in make up, tolerance and reactions to certain chemicals as well as the amount taken to be curative or result in overdosing.
Yes natural suppliments are the lesser evil but still, diving into something without proper advice is unwise. There is nothing more appropriate than proper diet as food contains these 'natural' sources already, without any 'industrially made additives and bonding agents. And even food can cause problems for some. Its good to be informed.
