Be careful !

I've been contacted by 2 scammers here. Always the same profile : they pretend they have a master, are widowed, constructors or self employed and give you their e-mail address for you to contact them immediately.

Be careful and wait to get to know them a little bit more !

You can usualy spot them cos they normaly give thier e-mail address in the first letter.

And They've sent you mail without viewing your profile

Yikes. Help me out here 'cause I'm a newbie. Are you saying they contact you and want you to e-mail them on an outside address. If you do, does anything bad happen in terms of computer virus/hacking?????

I'm wondering because someone sent me an IM last night and we did talk, but he kept asking me to IM from another site. I didnt' do it because I thought that was a little strange, and the IM here was working fine. Was that a scammer?????

Not necessarily. The IM feature on here is weak at best. If one person has dial up it's even worse. But at least CS has an IM feature which a lot of free sites don't, so Thats a plus. If you get to know a person on here I see no problem with exchanging off site contact info. like email & yahoo or MSN IM ID's. this way you can chat without being here and on yahoo at least you can leave offline messages which is really handy.

Oh great im new to this online searching for a soul mate kind of thing, Ive been on connecting singles around 1 month or so and nothing, then one day I get a letter from someone thay wanted me to email them on yahoo. I did and I've been talking to them around 10 days now. Thay have never ask me for money or anything at all, and now im lost on what to do after reading this. Cause to me im making a new friend and I cant stand to think im being lied to again. Guess internet is not much different then real life after all. Im not sure what ill do about all this. Thx for the heads up even tho I might be a little to late.
