Is there any way to start an e-mail campaign? Maybe you could write up a simple "ad" then start another post to announce the campaign, and then we can all copy and paste and mail it privately to our own address books?

It couldn't hurt. We need a title that will work... Maybe... "Everyone please read this tonight!"

Any suggestions?

I'm so sorry Dana blues hug

You may want to contact the local nursing homes, assisted living places and things of that sort or even your local hospitals for that matter. With their ages and being mellow they may take them for companion dogs for these places. It's worth a shot.

I understand Dana...It's the same here..finding apartments that will except pets are very few and far between so I can appreciate what you must be going through...I was fortunate enough to find the place I am in now that let me keep my dog...but there aren't many who will....I hope you find a good home for them to put your mind at ease a little bit at least!!!!!!!

Hey Bud, I feel for you. Try to place ads in grocery stores and the like. It is pretty cruel that you have to leave your petas behind. I know you will miss them because I am sure they have been a major part of your life. I feel your pain too. I see the shelters putting dogs down because they don't find homes for them. I am sure there are pet lovers in CS who would love to take them off your hands. I wish I could, but I am in Cali with cats. I hope you find a good home for them so we all can rest easy. I just want you to be happy.

I would contribute if I thought it would work. Landlords aren't very cooperative though. I meant do you have any suggestions on the best way to just get the word out? I don't know enough about the site but thought you might....

Contact your local pound and ask them for a list of rescue organisations there are normally stacks that are in contact with the pound and the rescue people unlike the pound have a no kill policy , plus they will vet any potential new owners to make sure they are suitable , in a situation like yours they will probably try and have everything set up so they pick the dog’s up and bring them straight to their new home with out having to stay at the rescue centre

Ps
They are normally registered charity’s so it is customary to make a small donation

i dunno
i lived in l.a. with dogs 16 yrs-it was hard but
always was able to find a place
i had to keep em

i also managed a 52 unit bldg for 2 yrs there at a point
and rented em w/ a deposit

thats why im feeling so sad-i cant imagine the upset...
but the choices we feel we must make sometimes
are the choices to be made at the time

i live rural now its not an issue

and the small town im in allows them but usually
if its in apts they want deposits
to 'refresh' the place after ya move

id donate to a fund

and im broker than broke but there is no better cause
