I've used the cold approach with women many times with little success. I really think it's best to meet through friends so the walls aren't up, if you know what I mean. What do you'all think of the cold approach? What I mean is walking up to a girl basically anywhere without knowing her and trying to get a date.

Hate cold calls. Feels too much like a telemarketer trying to sell me something.

Warm approach works much better. giggle

That would put my guard up. Why not, talk for a few minutes first, crack a few jokes, laugh and smile

and give her your phone number.....

Me personally, when I first meet a guy, I like to see that he can joke around and laugh.

I do not mind the cold approach, in fact I rather prefer it. I mean, it tells me the man is independent and does not rely on other people to get what he wants, he goes out and gets it for himself...I like independent men wink

Well, what I usually do is go over and say...."Look, I know I'm old enough to be your father, but my mates have dared me that I wouldn't come over and ask you for your number. Would you mind taking your cell phone out and make it look as if you're giving me your number....and I'll buy you drink for saving my face and playing along....you're such a chum..!!"

Why not ask....

It takes a certain amount of courage to walk up to a woman and ask for a phone number.

But courage is good!

walk to her
introducw yurself
handle her a card with a rose inside
write in the card what you have seen in her
be honest, there is nothing worst than a fake compliment
tell her (in the card) thyan you are inviting her for dinner and give her the exact addres of the restaurant and the time, that you will be there waiting for her
give her yur number and tell her you undertand she might be uncorfortable calling you but you will be more than pleased to get her phoine call

and if she can wink at yu as a sign she will be there or a sign you can aproach her back it will bright your day

finally tell her that if she is already taken, you are apologizing for bothering her

most if the times, whsn she is single she will take the invitation

and the final advice, dont misspell as bad as i do

A short story...
In Ohio, an unidentified man in his late twenties walked into a police station with a 9-inch wire protruding from his forehead and calmly asked officers to give him an X-ray to help him find his brain, which he claimed had been stolen. Police were shocked to learn that the man had drilled a 6-inch deep hole in his skull with a Black & Decker power drill and had stuck the wire in to try and find the missing brain.D'oh! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
