What I meant by playing mind games is , I was referring to physicalogical games that some men play. I don't mean all all men do this but some.

You as a man know all to well what's it's like to try to understand us women. Well it can be just as hard for us women too in understanding the opposite sex and how it can be a job translating some of the things men say/mean.

I don't have the patience to engage in a physicalogical warfare with any man.

Adults shouldn't play games, playing games are for children.

I want to be able to have an intelligent conversation with someone.

That's an interesting statement. I know we (both genders) speak the same language. But you state that "translating" what men say is a job.

I'm being serious for a moment. I've heard this from both sides so I'm not picking on women here.

What is it that happens, from the time the words are spoken to the time they are heard?

Why is translating what one says, necessary? Why is it that when one says, for example, "how are you feeling about (pick a subject)" the other says "what do you mean?"

Maybe I'm wrong but I think this fits within the context of the thread.

Just like men, finding the right person. Sometimes you have several people you're interested in and getting to know, and sometimes it's dry.

Hence one of my favorite mantras...

Say what you mean and mean what you say! grin

Hmmm..... I'd have to say the hardest part of this game is getting a man (other than the odd homeless guy panhandling) to talk to me What? Do I smell funny? Do I have a wart on my forehead I don't know about?

Finding men who are not seriously flawed... and don't keep asking me why I have not found anyone yet.. as if I have a reply to that one.

Honestly, there are a lot of great men out there, but the saying you have to kiss a lot of frogs is proving true for me at least..frog

As for the original question, I think the biggest struggle is that men and women both rely solely on their "instincts" and "feelings" in this game, and that makes it more akin to a blindfold "barnyard" game than to finding a life partner, a true soulmate to love, trust and cherish.

well stated, i usually worded it diferently
