yes, we all know where the problem lies but we can't fight the government. even if we did somehow manage to persuade them to reduce the fuel tax, they'd just slap the deficit on to cigarettes, alcohol, road tax (which cost over £300 per year if u drive a 4x4) or simply close down yet another school, post office or hospital.

When citizens become afraid of their government, they are no longer citizens but subjects......

A nation where people fear their government is called Tyranny....

I've heard these words somewhere but I can't remember where.....

we have a queen therefore we ARE subjects. as for the government, i don't believe we're afraid per se but they have the power to do what they want - and they DO WHATEVER THEY WANT! it's the same the world over. maggie thatcher laid the foundations when she came to power 30 years ago and today the uk is very much a police/nanny state whether we like it or not.

Average semi fill-up, $350.00. Then maybe 4 miles to a gallon. We're in big trouble.

try last time I filled up it was 1000.00 and the average truck gets about 6 mpg - 240 gal at 6 mpg thats around 1500 miles or 2.5 days driving. now some of that gets passed to the company shiping, some gets absorbed by the trucking company, buy in the end most realy goes to who ever is buying it. sad state of affairs these days.
