I did something totally stupid and regret it to this day. She made two cards to show how she felt . We had a fight and i tore them up. After she left I felt like an ass and taped them back together and still have them up on my wall to remind me how stupid I was back then.crying

About a year after my divorce I made the mistake of getting involved with another alcoholic. (What can I say? Some of us take longer to learn than others.) Anyway.....after nearly 4 years of breaking up for several months (several times) and then him crawling back begging for forgiveness, and me being STUPD enough to take him back again.....I had had enough!!! Enough of him cheating on me with every bar fly in town and then running back to his ex every time we got in an arguement! I wasn't going to sit home crying over missing him ever again. It was time to get even!

I concocted this story and called the local health department and told them I had just found out that I had an STD and felt bad that I may have given it to a man I met in a bar one night. They asked me for my name, but I refused to give it. But they did say if I had an address for him that they would notify him by mail that he MAY want to come in to get tested. I knew that his g/f was home all day while he worked and that she was just nosey enough that if he got a letter from the health department, she would definitely open it before he got home! rolling on the floor laughing

Less than 2 weeks later, he was at my door again begging for one more chance. The answer was NO!
I guess I should tell you that his sister-in-law and I have been very close friends for about 14 years now and she relayed to me later about the big fight and her kicking him out after the letter came etc...... And I did feel bad about having done something so underhanded, but not about causing them to break up. Eventually, he and became 'friends' and I finally admitted to him (about 3 years later) that I was the one who had called the HD. He couldn't believe it at first. He said no way was I the type of person to do something like that. But when I finally convinced him I had, he thanked me and said getting away from her and me shutting the door in his face was a big wake-up call for him. He's been clean n sober for almost 8 years now. smile

And the lesson I learned.........the guilt and shame I put upon myself was not worth the snickers and satisfaction I got from getting even. peace

Well my ex husband was really into two things. Control and girls. So when he was treating me like s**t after we were married, controlling everything I did and didn't do, (or tried to anyway, I'm a rebel!) then I told him we needed to talk and I was trying to pour my heart out to him, desperate to make him understand how he was hurting me and how if he didn't stop and change it then, and treat me better, then I was going to leave him.

Well he left to work, but not before saying how he may be back real late because he was going out to the club with his friends and when I said I wanted to go with him, he laughed and walked out the door and blew me and my feelings off. very mad

I knew what he would be wearing to go out that night. His precious cowboy hat, and some of his better shirts. So, I ripped his shirts, took one, took his cowboy hat and (this was before DVD's became so popular) cut up his huge box of porn tapes. I made a single slice, then reeled the tape back in the casing so it didn't look like anything was wrong with it.

I guess I totally messed up his plans for the evening! hahaha laugh

Oh, I also left that same day and never went back to himdancing
