The money machine is sucking the very life out of us - first it caused us to be dependent on it and now it is getting consumed by it own greed - I just hope the planet survives to learn the lessons from this period.

I dont know about 'not privy to' - if we look at all the companies which prosper from the war machine or ponder where the profits that the multinationals amass go to, we begin to get a close approximation to answers.......

Which "War Machine" was responsible for the gas rationing back in the late 70s? This isn't a new problem. Stop sticking everything on Bush's back.

Ok after reading this and carefully thinking it through
I have to think that the gov. and the oil company's are going to suck every last nickel out of oil until we can no longer afford to purchase fuel
I believe they already have some other way to get our money and are just holding back until They are no longer profiting from oil. The gov. is not going to ever try to stop them because Higher fuel prices mean higher prices on every thing else which= more tax dollars.

that happens when the PEOPLE is not interested in having good (at least not as bad as the actuals) persongs in the goverment

the few that vote, vote for the candidate that offers the most unbelibable things but that those sounds nice

When oil became the life-blood of the Western world at the turn of the last century, it was thought that it would last forever. To date we have used up way more than half of what remains. The rest can't be recovered because of the energy it needs to recover it. Example; The Canadian Oil Sands, within the near future, it will take a barrel of oil to recover a barrel of oil. Meanwhile the corporations and governments are cashing in their last chips for the greatest profits, and they are doing it NOW. They know the facts. The average corporate head or senior politician is 50 years old, and they only care about their BMW, mansion, golf club membership and winters in the Barbados.

This is a FACT .
