Smoking should be banned in all public places

Yeah smoking should be banned in all public places. We should be against abortions, witch hunt the homosexuals, burn the religious buildings of non-christian organizations. Bust into kid's rooms and tear down all their pokemon posters and toys because those children are Idolars. Picket in front of fast food places and protest against the gluttons. We should kill anyone who commits a crime, because it can only get worse before it gets better. Let's rally outside the photography businesses too and tell them they promote Lust.

Do you get what I am saying? Now stop it.

oh shut IT

Yeah... someone here is definately anti-religious. I get that you feel that way about this topic, like it's a religious witch hunt. However, I can't appreciate the idea that a few nuts define an entire group of people. This isn't true of religious people any more than it is of gun owners or car owners who drink. So while you are welcome to your generalizations based on extremists I'll kindly not partake of the same. Have a nice day, and I hope someone does something nice for you (they'd probably be religious).

they might be a follower but hopefully not religious

religiosity is not pleasing
not effective

He said so Himself

rolling on the floor laughing True, about many things... but religion did do good things for people. (Hospitals are actually an invention of religion, for example). However, I will agree that most religion as it is followed is far from beneficial. I'm personally a much greater believer in simple kindness and caring than any organized following. However, I also do know of several religious groups that are not evil, mean, threatening, or dangerous to others around them. So yes, religion is not a good thing in and of itself (but neither is it a bad thing in and of itself)... that aspect of something in our world tends to come from the people involved. Guess that leaves it as a sad reflection on us all.

Actually you are wrong. I am religious, but by religious I am not a fanatic. I admit that I do possess my own ideals. However by religious, do you mean believe in God? Of course I do. In fact I am a born again Christian. Do I agree with other Christians? No. Although whatever other people do is of no concern of mine, unless it is my own children (that I will own day have... hopefully) and I am trying to protect them. Because as a man, I would be responsible for my own household.

Try to take a joke and laugh at things, you will live longer, I promise you.

Hmm... sorry. Just that I see that idea a lot around, and I really don't find it funny. However, I do enjoy a lot of humor... just certain things don't strike me as funny.

That I can understand (I shall make note that some things can be offending to others). Although on the other hand, nobody will agree upon and or feel exactly the same about the same things. I bet even God himself treats others differently, as they are individuals and have their own purposes in life that are given differently. Not that He loves anyone more than the other, but He most certainly favors, as some are blessed more than others.

With this in mind, I believe it is okay to joke around with things. As in my opinion (which no one can change) no religion is greater than another, no sin for that matter, and no good deed. You can understand what I see. Religious is okay, fanaticism causes problems. I see people target homosexuals, but this is the influence and doing of man. I think sometimes people hear God, but they put themselves behind it and sometimes misconstrue the purpose.

For instance, it is good to love all, but God hates sin. If (let's just say) homosexuality is truly a sin, then people go and hate on the homosexuals because it is easier to see the sinner, then the actual sin. A man murders someone. They do not see "his name" the man who committed a murder. They see "The Murderer".

So that is why I disagree with some hardcore Christians (Or should I say "The Church-goers"), as they cannot define what is human. Targeting specifics such as homosexuality is just plain retarded. Why not target fast food for the gluttons? Shops that sell posters for Idolatry? Because they put man's own influence behind it, meaning their "Hate".

I just had to get that out there, and I apologize to the others for the thread jacking.

Funny you mention all the studies that have been done. Who profits from these "studies"?

We all know what is and isn't good for us, so why don't we choose to do what is?

The mayor of the town I'm moving to took $70,000 that was town money to improve the community and gave it to "someone" to do a study on what should be done with the money. Oddly enough there was nothing left afeter the study was done except a piece of paper stating there wasn't enough money left to do anything with the remainder.

This was several years ago and she's still the mayor. Smott peeples!

In the us they did study (3 million was the cost) to find out if second hand smoke was bad. They could have just asked me (duh ,if smoke is bad for the smoker ,,,wtf)

Richmond spent 5 million on a study on improving the city and the resulting data was a suggestion to raise the price on parking meters.

Our Mayor went to Africa to 'encourage buisness in richmond' ........? wtf did i just pay for? .......

To keep a really long story short...there was a commerical on the radio stations around here saying 250 people a year die from 2nd hand smoke. I emailed a local talk show host and asked him to follow up on the ad. He invited the county coroner in for an interview. The coroner basically said no coroner would ever put down 2nd hand smoke as a reason for death. Not proveable... Incidently, WhiteLies (anti-smoking group) quit playing the ad. I was amused

Medial journals ..... is where I read about it. Worked in a medical lab, after finishing college. This is where I read up on it..... and I was a smoker at the time.

The hottest woman in the world would look like a $2 whore (IMO) with a cig in her hand/mouth.
Its a repulsive, nasty habit that smokers should keep to themselves, in there own cancer filled places.
NOT in public !!!

I dont want to smell your ashtray breath, or sit near you as you reek of smoke and ashes.

GROSS ,,,, just GROSS !!!!

Smokers are ignorant, self centered people that need to realize the rest of us do not share their desire to stink, and be offensive to others.

May all you smokers die of cancer, oh wait, hehe, you all will !!!! LMAO
