Only Sundays??? Hell, I'd love it anyday of the week!
As you live near the / at the ocean's edge, you could at least walk down to the sand or somewhere overlooking the ocean and keep an eye open for "the Duck Fleet" as they are supposedly off the English coast having sailed past the Hebrides fairly recently. Do you know what the Duck Fleet is? %D
A flotilla of plastic bath toys, mostly yellow ducks, estimated at around ten thousand(!) have been heading towards your coast for the last 15 years on the oceans currents after having fallen off a cargo freighter during a storm back in January 1992. 29,000 plastic bath toys of yellow ducks, red beavers, green frogs and blue turtles were alledgedly lost at sea. Two thirds of those washed ashore along the coasts of Australia, Indonesia and South America, while some 10,000 headed north, sailed through the arctic down to Greenland, passing the US coasts around Maine and Massachusetts then turning east towards Britain. Any beachcomber who finds one stamped with the words "The First Years", will be able to claim a 50 pound note from the toy manufacture First Years Inc. the US distributor of the toys.
2 children's books have been written on this toy saga and the toys have become collector's items, changing hands for 500 and more pounds...so pour a large drink, take a folding chair and binoculars and watch for the 'invading' fleet...good luck! %D
