yes, there are people that only post in threads of specific memebers

it is about having some peoples thread on top of the list

we have some rules, and they are not meant to take our freedom but as a guidelines to achive a good quality forums

we have blogs, where we can post things for those that wants to folow all what we post, and we have the chat rooms where several people can talk at the same time

let use the forums for what they were intended and we will have a nice enviroment again

Well said...... thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

Hi Minimoo--

Rosie and I were saying the same thing the other day. It has changed on here and not for the good. I don't post as much any longer either as I feel ignored too.

LOL guess things move on.

I sure wish I could attend the party in Dublin next week. You are going to have a fantastic turnout!!

I agree.. I kind of do that.. I stay away from the stuff im not really interested in.. (like politics and religion and a few other things).. and I DO try to welcome newbies. I know it's hard sometimes to get a word in if a few people are already yapping.

But I do think its the same as anywhere in RL..

If you walked into a bar and there are a load of locals sat around talking.. at first you ARE the outsider.. (its just how it is).. they may all say *Hi*... but it takes a while to get into the groove of what's being said .. and to feel comfortable enuff to join in.. eventually.. you too become one of the locals.
We were ALL newbies once.

in real life you dont walk with a friends to a restaurant, and you sit in a table where there are other people talking about a subjec and you with your friends interupt them to talk about your own stuff

that is what the OP means about people haveing their own private chat withing a thread

People on here only seem to reply to certain members threads / comments??? Is it jus me who thinks this??? It used to be very different here a few months ago but since I have come back I have noticed this happening more and more.

I for one dont bother to post as much as each time I try it is mostly ignored....and people carry on with the disscussion and / or their own little private chats.

I am not meaning to come accross bitchy or anything, I am just merely stating how I think others who are new at posting may feel also.

I think its to do with some people thinking if they are the op the thread is their's and even telling posters to get out of their threads.

There have been a lot of arguments and bad feelings on her so maybe they are just avoiding certain people

what i belive is the OP asking to stay in topic, but there are some people that always post off topic, and it can be seen as someting personal

that is the reazon i sugested to folow the rules, it give as a basis for how to handle ourselves in the forums

I agree with you. It just seems that way. I also think people steer off the thread topics to carry on this stuff. Just seems what is said is being taken for granted. People have said that I come across as too serious and I need to lighten up. I may even be making enemies with some of this, but I guess we have the right to freedom of speech and the entitlement to our own opinions. The threads were supposed to be open, but it seems they are closing to a select few.sigh crying

I also think people need to use private chat rooms for the other stuff and stick with the forum topics as they were designed to be and not disrespect the poster's intentions.

Its not always the case of the thread going off the topic Alex. Some people tell posters to leave their thread if they don't like the other opinion.
