A real story of the Alaskan pipeline and the oil fields there. I was working (sales representative) in CA for a major (to be unnamed power tool comapny) when the Alaskan pipeline was done.

Yes, I know where CA is. I lived in Ca for 6 years. So know exactly what they are up against. They had some major thunderstrom blow thru.....got a bunch of lightening strikes and got wildfires.

Now here is the question you need to ask and to answer before you can point the fickle finger of poor gov't on anyone regarding wildfire control. Did they try to control old growth and ground growth with either selective cutting or with pre season burns? Honestly, I don't know.

But assuming they took the precautions of doing this.....this I would say it just a real bad dry spell and weather situation. If not....then you can get out the fickle finger blame award. But don't point it at all the Feds.

The State of CA needs some of the blame as well. There is lot of State Forest in CA.

A little know fact. CA has the single largest air fire attack operation in the country. Is larger than most foreign countries air forces.

Even fox showed that shit Indyfella......but of course their reports are never deep going when it is about natural catasrophies of this scale and they dont talk much a bout global warming......
