Just a thread to talk about working out, exchange ideas or workout programs or whatever.

I work out no less than three times a week, and at times 6 times a week....and sometimes I just shut it off for a week or so.

I love the high I get after a good workout session. It clears my mind, relieves any stress I may have, and keeps me young and energetic.

Anyways, I like to lift weights 3-4 times a week, swim at least once, and go jogging at least 3 times a week. I do love to do sprints up a hill. Gets me in shape fast.

I usually do my cardio work out after I lift weights....so a workout session is usually 2 hours plus the extra 10 minutes of annoying stretching.

Right now with the weights, I go as heavy as I can for 4 reps, then drop the weight till I get in 12 reps. Power plus stamina...what a rush.

When I swim, I swim for about 35 minutes at a good pace....and I do slow down if I pass a sexy lady under the water...goggles give me a nice viewinnocent

When I jog, I usually jog for 40-45 minutes. Sprints I do for about 35 minutes.

If I did not work out, I would go mental....plus age faster....

Feel free to add anything....even if it's lifting beer or chips from the sofa in front of the tv....

I am big on reps and lifting .. as long as its not weights, garbage, household items, fingers, and items from store shelves that I havent paid for yet. Other than that I could beat your fraille little manness into submission in a mere instant yoda. wine

At least you are doing a little working out....sounds like enough with the swiming a few times a week and the salsa class.

Personally, I think swimming is my favorite. It's really good for my lower back that can be stiff at times....I think I need a better chair when I sit in front of the computer....

Yeah swimming is brilliant for shaping up.. I used to swim everyday without fail.. and in no time saw a BIG difference. I'm planning on build back up to that much if I can fit it in.

i dont go to a gym.. actually i never set foot in one in my life! but i do play drums at least 3 hours a day and on weekends a good 6 hours a day on average.. so i see that as enough exercise??

maybe the 20 smokes a day cancels that out though!

I heard that riding a dirt bike is a good workout and requires some strength and stamina....

About running shoes, man those are important for the feet. I hate running on flat tires...
