Hey Red! You said biking, did you mean spinning or do you actually bike around? Just curious, cause I use my bike to go everywhere...I live in a small town so everything is really accessible. Plus gas is like twice as expensive her than over in American...
You golf? How much do you really like that? JC....
Tell me what happens after said dancing....jk....

Hey, Stress.

I mean actually biking around, not spinning. I have a mountain bike & I ride it everywhere I need to go within a certain distance, weather permitting.
Yes, it is helpful since gas is like $insert ridiculous amount here$, per gallon.

Uh, yeah - I golf. Been golfing since I was 10 years old. I enjoy it, depending on who is in my group...(twosome, threesome, foursome) GOLF, people! GOLF!!!
scold laugh

As far as after said dancing... well, there are many types of dancing, you know... devil

Jumping rope is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Takes stamina, for sure. It it a simple rope, with a handle on each end that you hold in each hand - then you proceed to swing the rope over & under your body with quick motions (at least I do), being careful to make sure you actually "jump" over the rope as it swings beneath you.

Hacky sack - a small type ball form object, usually round in shape, filled with "stuffing" (of some sort) that you kick with one foot while standing in a circle with other people (you can play by yourself, too, but it's more fun to have others play). The focus is to make sure you are swift & paying attention with each kick, directing it to the others in the circle. It's neat how creative some people get playing this...

Very good exercise.

Oh, you mean skipping and keepy upeeee.

Yes, thats hard work.

I'm still quite amazed how no one on here
has discovered what a great sport climbing
is. For all round exercise for mind body and
soul, its hard to beat.
Indoor climbing walls these days are
commonplace and no experience is
necessary, i really do recommend that
maybe some of you give it a try.
You never know, you might just get bitten
by 'the bug'

Hmmm... never heard of it put that way before. Cool.
I do more of a jump, rather than a skip, though.

I'd really like to try climbing sometime.

Okay, I've actually been keeping in really good shape here. Here in Vegas I've been working out at the 24 hour fitness club. Awesome facility and it blows away any european faciltiy I have seen. The best thing about it (besides the hot women) is the indoor basketball court...so I have been playing a lot of hoops and rubbing up against man sweat...So after an hour of hoops or so, I have been lifting weights and do an occasional swim in the pool, then top it off in the fake saunalaugh Yeah, American saunas are dispicable compared to the Swedish ones...
I did try to go for a jog in the Vegas heat...I had to stop after 35 minutes cause I was getting dizzy due to the heat coming off the pavement...

When I was in the San Francisco area, I did a lot of sprints and jogging...it can be done during any time of day...man that Cali sun is beyond awesome and orgasmic...plus I mixed in some scenic bike rides for 2-3 hours...I usually went away from the city and in to the nature...
I also lifted weights at this facility called club one, and it was the huges work out facility known to mankind...blow away even 24 hour fitness. This place even had a hocky rink in there with recreational league games going in there. Very top notch work out facilities that cannot simply be found in europe. I got pics to prove it too...yay

So I guess I am off to 24 hour fitness to play some hoops and get one last day of weights before I leave back to Sweden tomorrow...20 hour tripuh oh!

Climbing is awsome!cheering

I never did the indoor climbing, we started on training rocks , with few meters height only, and free hands, no rope.

rolling eyes It's a perfect feeling getting on top, but for me it always felt strange going back down, free hands...I found that part harder than the going up.

I'm off for a 40 minute jog followed up by 10 minutes of sprints....

I really do hate stretching, but gotta do it.

6 days a week now....mostly running and swimming. Then of course playing baseball on the weekends. I'll get back on my weight lifting thing after baseball season...

Running+swimming=a good clearing of the head....

I'm a former professional swimmer, so I can't imagine the life without moving myself a bit. I still swim, but take it as a hobby now- 6 times a week, 2 kilometers a day. Sometimes more or less.

And I go sailing every week, it's a work out too, even if some people take it more like fun and relaxation.

Oh, I have no doubt it's a lot of fun...going up. It's the coming down - really fast - that rather intimidates me. I have this dream of putting some gymnastic stuff up in my backyard - bars and rings and such, and kinda hangin' out back there. Plus maybe one of those boards with holes that you climb by jamming wood dowels in an hoisting yourself up...used to enjoy that in gym, but can't remember what they're called. Maybe I could built a wall and glue/fasten a bunch of rocks to it and climb it...while the neighbors and locals stand around drinking beer and shaking their heads in amazed incomprehension? Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

Yeah, I'm not sure I can feel your pain, T, because I never actually did get my game together...blues There were those wonderful days here and there when everything seemed to be together, but too many when that didn't happen. I didn't play often enough to find consistency...or maybe was just too lacking in raw ability.

No, not much opportunity for pick up ball out here. And to be honest, I'm kinda afraid of who might show up to a game like that. I can see driving for a basket and being lassoed or struck with a branding iron in the privates or something. wave laugh cheers

Bolt-on holds are readily available from most
outdoor shops or even online.
It can be quite good fun building your own
climbing wall. The holds vary in size and can be
easily adjusted to add to the difficulty as you
progress.
Be careful of tendon strains in your fingers as
your body strength will increase quicker than
your finger strength. I always use finger tape
on indoor walls and whilst bouldering.
My main interest though lies in big mountain
routes, not technically difficult ones but long
and totally absorbing, usually amongst
magnificent scenery.
Yes, truly a workout for mind, body and soul.thumbs up

Not as good as I would like to be. I had some problems with my back lately and I had to make almost 2 months break in active swimming.

But you can come to sail anytime, the yacht is waiting :)
