I have been doing a little reading regarding cuss words and curious now. You mean to tell me this is an adult site (+18 and over) and you can't say the word "shit"?

That's a PG-13 word there. What's the deal with cuss words anyways?

As a kid, I was told they were Adult Words, then I grow to be an Adult and people say I can't use them. I've been waiting a long time damn it!

I just needed to rant. Anyways, if I get banned..... I love you. laugh

Same here, sometimes I can't help it. I type as I speak, even with pauses and such. I do also have a mouth like a drunken sailor though, and if I do not curse, then much effort is being put fourth to hold my tongue.

Hey Faust...handshake

I have made an effort not to curse for the last 5 years. I know times have changed and cursing is more acceptable. It kind of shocked me when I heard my 16 year old nephew(he is 21 now) say the F word. I told myself then I don't want to curse, especially around kids. So far, I have been doing pretty good...once in a while I will "slip"....laugh

Was wondering if you had to work at it. rolling on the floor laughing

In answer to your question Faust, some people never grow up. I don't offend easily, there's only one word I don't like to hear anyone say. Other than that I could give a f*ck!

Sometimes, doesn't it just seem that no other word (but a cuss word) will "work" for what you need to say?
Yeah, cusssin' is one of my vices...I like it and I hate it...I like to hit the nail on the head but I don't want to offend any tender ears either. rolling eyes

Okay, so I have a question. How come we say "Excuse my French" when we cuss? dunno

Well I try not to cuss around kids. I am so subtle when I cuss, that people (including the kids I have slipped around) are not bothered by it or even notice it. Now, when I go into a public place, if I have to speak loud, I will not cuss. Nor would I cuss when speaking to an employee in a place of business unless we are talking about personal life (it happens as you make friends with people) where I feel comfortable to be myself.

I hate when people just blurt them out all loud and say to people in a department store "Ay! Where um..... Where the F*ck is your diapers an shit?" See? We have a problem there. That's just wrong.

I always wondered that too, and why do we call it French kissing? dunno

And yeah, when someone cuts you off in traffic, oh darn it just doesn't cut it! grin

My ex's little niece was turned away from pre-school because of her 'trucker mouth'.

Amazingly, her mom and dad still don't know where she learned it from. D'oh!

It's everything I can do, to check my mouth. In reality, I make sailors blush! Cussing is an art form! I laugh to reply in this forum. My cussing is colorful, poetic and I know all the forms of f---!

I have a cussing problem, but I don't have THAT problem! I can curtail myself and I don't blurt out in a store, or around kids. That's just low class.

I was called to my daughter's class when she was in kindergarten. She called a classmate the "b-word", for cutting in line. I was glad it was cutting in line, then I had to hush. I had to hush my mouth, afterwards.

Okay, I had a problem when my daughter was in elementary school. I was called to class, often. I cleaned up my language over the years. My daughter went to college and all bets were off.

The reason you can't swear on the site is because even though you are in america where the first amendment statse freedom of speech, This is the inter net where there is no constitution so any one can make there own rules. Or so my theory goes.

It is just ridiculous because one has to use all those words when we have to. I do not give a toss about restrictions. I am a lover of the word fuck because of its expressivity, and I do not care about being called ignorant or ill-educated because I use it (mainly because I am ignorant and ill-educated, while the people who say that just pretend not to be so by not using the fucking cuss words laugh)

It is true that the overuse of those words by people tend to reflect some sorts of illnesses inside in particular violence, but you do not change your crew-ups just by stopping cursing.

Particularly I do not care being called bastard or arsehole by anyone but I can see many do. It is just this culture based on bullshitting and words that are worth nothing.
