Go see a different doctor! You need to unwind. Maybe they can give you something that will allow that. Its going to take awhile to adjust to being back so don't wait around.

Look on the brightside though.

Now your away from the barracks, you can have a wank in the privacy of your own room without upsetting the rest of the troops.

Welcome back and thank you for your work in Iraq.

Best bet would be to find a counselor who specializes in Post traumatic stress.

It's not fun, but fairly normal after being in a combat zone. A lot of guys coming back from Nam had the same kind of thing. Your body has to adjust to being back to a normal life and your mind has to learn to cope with what you've seen. Its hard to do.

it does seem a good idea to go and speak to someone, sure that there should be someone on your base

im finding it easy to be arounf friends and family, but never at ease, i panic alot, and get nervous, about the smallest thing, never seem to be comfartble, im finding it hard not to have a routine, and be a normal guy, and not just a body in the field, the shit i done out there aswell, i cry and feel guilty about it, why is that?

Hey, you just went through a whole lot of crap! One day you're in hell, the next your back home. Huge transition! Your whole body has been keyed up and on edge since you went to Iraq. You never let your guard down while your there even if you don't realize it. Its impossible to make that transition back to regular life in a matter of days. I use to duck, ready to hit the ground everytime I heard a lound noise! Get some pills to help you sleep. You have to have that. See a councilor if you think it would help. Sometimes, talking about your experiences is the best thing. You'd be amazed how it helps. Biggest thing is time. It takes time to recover
