Check out some of the other threads. Only thing I can figure is, we won't know until November! People are definitely polarized for this election! (Personally, I'm going with McCain)

does it really matter? Things in the world will remain the same. There will be no power shift.

Lets see.... taxes will go up to cover new social programs, gas here will go up to $8 a gallon.... People will be forced back into the cities because the burbs will be too expensive to drive, people will be forced onto public transportation and lose thier independence, murder rate will go up, guns will be taken away and finally the Bill of Rights will be revoked.

Zee

ps. how is that for a conspiracy theory?

Whoever gets elected will have one huge mess to clean up. From what I've seen so far Congress doesn't look like it is up to the task either. The country is so divided it will take a magician to get us all going in the same direction.

i do understand where points zee, but why not look at it this way, that after the election, say begining of 2009, the prize of gas will drop to it's orignal status quote of $3, people's rights rights will be upheld and rate of murder reduced, although am in support of any bill that will take guns off the street..

let's be positive Ok,
one love

The economy will always have it's ups and down based on who the non-government power brokers are. Like most political people, the White House's influence is bought and sold like a commodity. Look at the Clinton year.... it only cost $1000 to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom. The best bet is to become a bit more self-sufficient.

i understand about the guns......but if they are made illegal ....the criminals will still be able to get them and the honest people will not be able to defend themselves........i know i am opening a whole can of worms here......go ahead and tell me i am wrong

You are not wrong.... I had drawn my concealed weapon when I was confronted by two guys. They walked away. No bullets were fired and the police caught them later that night. There are hundreds of stories where honest citizens were forced to draw their weapons and never fired a shot.
