Why are there so many more men on internet dating sites, than women??

I heard an interview the other day stating that women were more into their careers than dating and that men were more likely to look outside their local area to find the right women..... not sure how true this is, but it sounds good to me.

Fear! Fear of commitment. Men (generally),are more afraid of tying the knot (which very many women want), than women are. The good ones get snapped up quickly by men with less fear, ergo more men on the loose with less choice.

Women also are less likely to look for a partner online and many are more content to be living by themselves than with men.

What often drives men more into the market place is the need for physical gratification and many women are content to do without. (Nature gave us less urgency in our needs I think, or at least we dont have a very obvious reminder every time we wake up telling us that it needs to be satisfied).

Also some men are just fussy and it takes them so long to find the perfect one that life just flies by.

There is also the stigma atttached to internet dating. It is worse for women because stories circulate about men looking for sex online in porn sites and if women say they date online then people think they are looking for sex and not relationships, which in some climes is not a decent thing for women to be doing, so they stay offline, therefore more men online at least.

More men cheat on their wives/girlfriends than women...
