It could be worse, he could just walk upto you and say "fancy a root".

You might have to translate that for people who arent familiar with "Aussie".Fortunately i travelled with some so found out all about "bush pigs" and all manner of sayings, that and if all else fails i can always ask a relative out there

To have a good "root" in England.... is to search/look for something. In Australia, I believe, it means.... sex??

or if you get a real aussie 'fuck'. Bush pigs another word for a scrubber

You know some guys are so bad at the pick up thing I would prefer them just to come out with 'hey fancy a root'. There is only two answers then, either 'Fark off' or 'Fark I'm in'

I think the best pick up line I ever got was in a bar....He walked over and began to introduce himself..

Hi my name is Dave, I'm your future ex-husband.

It was a shock to say the least.....I then told him that I had been there and done that.... and His reply was

Great will get along perfectly.... I was laughing from then on forward.....
