My guess is that if Obama was elected we would see very little change except for higher taxes.

opal "I do try to stay informed and do research ..."
Is implying Obuttma knows more about the military one of those things you surmised from this "research"? HOW?
"If you can't repect that my opinion is different than your's and you want to make a personal attack ..."
Honestly, get a spell checker and it will be easier for me to tell what you are talking about. Not a shot, your posts are a pain in the ass to decipher. LOL Don't know where you got "personal attack", and can't respect your opinion either. Deal.

HJFinAZ "I wonder?? Why is it that "some" state it is a personal attack on them when another states..."
RFLMAO, if I were to honestly answer, I bet you'd hear the panties twisting all the way from there!

ttom, even having siblings teaches you that while you may might fight amongst yourselves at times, never let anyone come after your own.

Skybow "most import issue is how HONEST they are and how good a job they do."
I agree, and, Obuttma has ONLY been caught in one lie after another. Asked those he was "working" for in his last job, lousy references, so no reason to expect better in any other. Now watch a certain fool call stating simple facts attacking character LOL

Skybow, "I'm into the finding out the truth and voting accordingly ...pulls no weight with me."
I agree, get the truth and vote accordingly, which is why I did a heck of a lot of research, which made me so adamantly AGAINST Obuttma. The more I learned the more adamant I became.

opal, we do not use patriotism to try to keep people like the dud quiet, we just don't care what they say. There is a difference. CAN you grasp that overall concept?
"I know they are guilty of their own tactics but not of the enormous amount of lies, coverup, breaking laws,"
THAT made it sound like you live in some kind of cave with no access to current information of any kind.

WhatUwish4 "We also don't want to "feed the f**** world" ..., espacially when they turn around and slap our faces."
AMEN!

Skybow " I know he has some very good spin doctors of his own too. If he can listen to them and reject the dirty tricks then he just might be someone worth voting for."
Think 20+ years of Wright. Nope, Obuttma doesn't seem to have any problem soaking up disgusting, hatefilled things, why a few dirty tricks? And the word "Sharpton" should be enough of a response regarding Obuttma's spin doctors.

ttom "I said have the debate....it said compromise even......"
By now I am just tired of this whole thread. And sorry, but with all the messed up posts, I honestly think that the dud and opal are the same person. Pretend to be intelligent enough to have thoroughly done their homework yada yada, but then the "facts" and conclusions, are as flawed as the grammar and spelling, by both, and suck so badly I feel like I am reading the report of a third grader. But, point is, they do not seem to be intelligent enough to look up either word (don't believe opal is American by now either), in order to even understand what "debate" is, or have the maturity to able to "compromise".

WhatUwish4, "This isn't YOUR country it's ours. And while you know in your heart you can always count on us to come and help you in times of need, we are first and foremost Americans."
Kinda like the reliable old dog some asshole kicks every day, but then expects to guard his home every night. Fools, these dogs have been known to turn and BITE.

massticles, agreed until I got to
"I think its about time we had another civil war. "
Just secure the borders and start deportations, wouldn't need one.

dud, how many times do I have to call you on that BS about telling Americans they have to have native blood to not be illegal immigrants, and that even those of us who do, don't care about YOUR opinions? LOL

And with that, I quit with this. Everytime I finish a page, another page has been added. Must be a hot thread, but getting repetitious to me.

A definate win would definately bolster the dems position in this race. A defeat would damage them. They know this just as you and I know it so that makes your statement about the dems playing it wise accurate. I never meant to imply the were dumb, just that they are as crooked as any other party. They tell their followers what they wish to hear, all the while they attempt to wash their own hands of the responsibilty they share with Bush on this war and all this country's problems. If these people were really so stupid as to allow themselves to be conned by Bush then maybe we should be looking at replacing them.

Perhaps Obama will win, perhaps not. I guess we'll find out soon enough

There was a lot of partying bickering and neither the Dems or Reps
are neither completely satisfied with that Judicial committee report.
There are impeachable offenses. I am not sure who it would inscriminate and I really wouldn't care. But I do think many of them were duped as much as the public. Or either they just didn't do their jobs and give such an important decision enough effort and consideration and they failed. So you may be right, there may be some cowards in power but not all of them. There were even Republicans who voted against the war and gave good thought out reasons for not invading Iraq. On either side it took guts to vote on principle and stand up to all the republican power and not be fooled by the manipulation that was going on at the time.

I can tell you this....I was supporting Hilary for President until I watched her in an interview with Tim Russert who was a straight shooter and will be missed by many. He ask her why she voted yes on the war. She said she went with the knowledge that she had at the time. He continued to question her. When that interview ended I believed that there was much more than she was admitting and she knew more and had even said more than she was admitting. In the end she seemed like a pretencious, power hungry politician. We all saw that side of her, she was even delusional. That is when I decided to support Obama, atleast he gave an honest assessment about the war from the beginning.

Poll: Bush most unpopular in modern history
Posted: 02:30 PM ET

From CNN Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser

New poll numbers show bad news for president Bush.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — A new poll suggests that George W. Bush is the most unpopular president in modern American history.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Thursday indicates that 71 percent of the American public disapprove of how Bush his handling his job as president.

"No president has ever had a higher disapproval rating in any CNN or Gallup poll; in fact, this is the first time that any president's disapproval rating has cracked the 70 percent mark," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

"Bush's approval rating, which stands at 28 percent in our new poll, remains better than the all-time lows set by Harry Truman and Richard Nixon (22 percent and 24 percent, respectively) but even those two presidents never got a disapproval rating in the 70s," Holland added. "The previous all-time record in CNN or Gallup polling was set by Truman, 66 percent disapproval in January 1952."

CNN Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider adds, "He is more unpopular than Richard Nixon was just before he resigned from the presidency in August 1974." President Nixon's disapproval rating in August 1974 stood at 67 percent.

The poll also indicates that support for the war in Iraq has never been lower. Thirty percent of those questioned favored the war while 68 percent opposed the conflict.

"Americans are growing more pessimistic about the war," Holland said. "In January, nearly half believed that things were going well for the U.S. in Iraq; now that figure has dropped to 39 percent."

The numbers on the Iraq war come on the five-year anniversary of President Bush's "mission accomplished" moment onboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, when Bush proclaimed that "major combat operations in Iraq have ended."

Would be in all their best interest to cause our decline, just not in our best interest.
Single dud "when Obama changes his views it is because of he is wise and can see a point in changing a little and then later he will adjust the issue for sure. when McCain flip flops it is because he is a lier and a cheater and beside because his memory is not that sharp any more..........."

My opinion I think this is fricken ridiculous.

When using this kind of bizarre rationalization for opinions, who can have any respect for them?
Maybe I have a hard time understanding what you are trying to say to because I took this as you can't respect anyone who believes anything different than you.

Polls....

I am the only person I have ever known to receive a call giving a telephone poll....

The sad thing was the poll was on "Sexually Transmitted Diseases"
I told them That I think I have had every virus known to man.... do you think she understood that I meant on my computer?

I did read a poll not too long ago that said "out of 1000 democrats polled would they vote for Obama?" 72% said no. I don't believe that poll either.

I find little use in polls.

Yep. Very unreliable and many deliberately set out to design the polls in favor of one of the other. We'll just have to wait and see what happens at the real polls. I'm betting the silent majority will win again. If not, I sure hope Obama learns fast on his feet.

No, it means they should lose their positions. The info Cheney got from the CIA was fixed. and that is what they had to go on. But still some didn't fall for it, so there is more to learn.
