What does it take for you to send someone a message? Is it the way they look in their pictures or what they say in their profile. I personally rarely ever send messages unless I know them ( met through the forum). Please vote and explain.

I check them out in the forums then stalk their profile. I send a message if I liked something they said.

If I like something they say on the forum, or if I see someone local that sounds interesting, I'll drop them a line, but I don't do it very often. The local crop here is extremely limited.

Course it only takes one.

I read the profile and send an email if they answer back ok if they dont oh well, not worth my time then

If they participate in the forums it will be what they say, how they present themselves and if their cute - even better!!

I rarely look at profiles ..... and rarely write letters either. The few times I have, they're not interested and rarely does someone catch my attention ....... maybe I'm too picky - I'm not sure anymore, so I've resigned myself to participating here on the forums for the time being. Not sure if I have the desire or energy at this time - so I'm coasting.

Its actually funny, because when I've got my picture up I get alot of mail ......... and when I don't - nil or only from people who know me. Pretty sad really that people will only respond to a picture - because there is alot more to me than that.

OK You live in West Palm, so you can be forgiven for thinking all women spend gazillions on beauty products... But still, did you ever wonder WHY some of these women don't post their photos??? Like Langley...when she posts her photo her in-box gets flooded....Probably a very attractive girl then, right?????

I think Shadow means that women still accept and roll with men`s terms about the importance of looks. I know, if they don´t then there would be all sort of social penalties and ostracism (like it happens to women without children, for example)
I think the obssesion for looks must have a natural source in our early humanity -as free and simple animals- but has been distorted into a horrible traffic of things without any value other than their looks.

Mostly its to weed out those guys who don't even bother to look at my profile to get an understanding of who I am .......... (yes, my profile at this moment doesn't say anything - but its because I want it that way) ..... just went through another round of game players. I tell you this - to find someone serious about meeting would be a rare treat.

And you would probably be right. What I meant was that Palm Beach pricing is about twice the national average!

And my general point was that some women don't post their photos because they ARE very attractive and then all the creeps come out... So Shadow might want to take a chance...

Interesting question! Photo attracts my attention first. Then read profile to see if there is substance/ mutual interests. Also found, don't email. Send a flower and see if you get a response. Talking to some wonderful people that way without ever seeing them on the forums. Percentage wise of the people on this site, very few post on the forums.

Honestly I'm not looking right now... Newly single again, so just floating along ATM.

Thats the basic idea. Our prices are a bit higher but there is money to be had here as well.
